Fundraising Events: Skagit Habitat for Humanity holds several annual fundraising events in the community, such as National Women Build Week, “Raise The Roof” Dinner Auction, and North Puget Sound Association of REALTORS® Charity Golf Tournament.
Planning and executing these fundraising events takes a great deal of time and talents; planning, soliciting business sponsors and donations, as well as logistics and administrative aspects of a successful event.
Special Events: Skagit Habitat for Humanity also celebrates many special events such as: Groundbreaking, Home Dedication and Mortgage Burning Ceremonies. Enthusiastic volunteers are always welcome to join in and help out with these celebratory events.
Mailings: We also send out newsletters, announcements, and annual letters to keep our volunteers and donors informed about Skagit Habitat for Humanity happenings and opportunities for involvement.
Other Skills and Interests: There are so many things that we do (and would like to do) that we need your help! Are you a techie, tinkerer, organizer or artist? We welcome volunteers with skills or interests in:
- Computer/Tech Support
- Event Planning
- Furniture and/or Appliance Repair
- Grant Writing
- Media/Public Relations
- Social Media/Website
