Fore the Cause
Every year, we look fore-ward to attending the North Puget Sound Association of Realtor’s Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Skagit Habitat for Humanity and other local nonprofits!
Of-course, it’s always a great time to connect with link-minded people who share a passion for affordable housing solutions in our community! From the NPSAR team, to dedicated sponsors, to our incredible volunteers, we are so thankful for the Skagit community who continues to show up in full swing for our neighbors in need.
A “Tee-rrific” $2,200 from Raffle Sales
As we wait for the final amount raised from the event, we’re celebrating $2,200 raised from our raffle! (That’s a lot of green.) These funds will be used to purchase building materials for the remaining four units at Parkside Cottages in Anacortes, helping eight more low-income, Skagit families build and buy an affordable home.
Thank you to everyone who chipped in and purchased a raffle ticket! We want to especially shout out the raffle winners: Brandon and Megan! Brandon won our “Sip N Support” package, including a bartending kit, local wine, a wine-tasting experience for twelve, and a basket filled with plenty of spirits and mixers. Meanwhile, Megan won an exciting Discovery Flight Experience with Cascade Aviation, as well as a $50 gift certificate to the Swinomish Casino.
Clubbin’ at the Hole-in-One
For day-of support, Skagit Habitat helps provide volunteers to cart sponsors around and monitor the hole-in-one. Un-fore-tunately, nobody was lucky enough to make a hole-in-one and win a brand new Rav4, but we had a few close calls!
Shoutout to Nancy, Karl, and Rocio for monitoring the hole-in-one, as well as McKenzie for sharing a few words about Habitat’s impact at dinner that evening. We also want to recognize the Weapons of Grass Destruction for representing Skagit Habitat on the course!
