Mission & Vision

Support Our Homebuilding

Skagit Habitat for Humanity builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

History

Founded in 1994 by local citizens, Skagit Habitat for Humanity is celebrating 32 years of building safe, secure, and affordable homes in partnership with low-income families in our community. Guided by our mission—putting God’s love into action—we bring people together to build homes, community, and hope.

Through this work, our Homebuyers gain the strength, stability, and independence needed to build better lives for themselves and their families. In 2015, we celebrated a major milestone when our first Homebuyer successfully paid off their twenty-year mortgage. To date, Skagit Habitat for Humanity has built 53 affordable homes—and we’re still counting.
