Help a Neighbor Step Safely into the New Year

As we approach the last few days of 2025, many of our neighbors are facing something far more urgent than the ball drop: unsafe steps, deteriorating railings, and aging entryways that put them at risk.

Skagit Habitat for Humanity’s Critical Home Repair Program addresses this need by providing essential repairs for low-income, senior, and disabled homeowners—but we can only do this with your support. Your gift today will help purchase the building materials needed to restore safety and security for families right here in our community.

Meet Denise.

Denise, a Sedro Woolley homeowner, watched her front porch steps deteriorate to the point of becoming a serious safety hazard. She searched for a handyman, but every option was too expensive for what she could afford on her fixed income.

After applying to the Critical Home Repair Program, our volunteer-led Repair Team soon arrived to replace her steps and railings, ensuring Denise could safely and confidently move around her home.

From secure railings to accessible ramps, your support has the power to help more low-income, senior, and disabled neighbors, like Denise, remain safe in their homes.

Donate to the Repair Program today and help more neighbors step safely into the new year.
