No Longer Accepting Paint Cans For Recycle

The Skagit Habitat Store is no longer accepting paint cans for recycling. Due to capacity limitations, we have officially ended our participation in the PaintCare program.

However, we are still accept some paint-related donations. We gladly welcome new, full, and unopened cans of paint or stain that are less than one year old, in non-rusted condition, and with the original labels intact. We also accept paint-related supplies such as paint removers, brushes, rollers, trays, and other painting tools. Please check our donation guidelines for a comprehensive list of accepted and non-accepted items. Please note, donations are accepted at the discretion of the warehouse staff and/or drivers as they are most familiar with current stock levels and what sells in our Store.

If you have partially used or expired paint that is no longer usable, please visit www.paintcare.org/drop-off-sites to find a participating drop-off location near you. These facilities are equipped to responsibly manage leftover paint and ensure it is handled in an environmentally safe way.

We appreciate your understanding and thank you for helping us keep our donation program effective and sustainable. If you have any questions, feel free to call at: 360-428-9402.
