Thank You, Volunteers!
Last month, Skagit Habitat for Humanity celebrated our incredible volunteers at our Volunteer Appreciation Bingo Night! Staff and volunteers gathered at Hillcrest Lodge to enjoy catering by Pacioni’s, bingo, exciting prizes, and special recognition for several long-time volunteers.
It was a wonderful evening spent reconnecting and sharing exciting updates from Skagit Habitat — including the start of construction on our three-home Caledonia Cottages project in La Conner!
Recognizing Decades of Service
At Volunteer Appreciation Night, Skagit Habitat was proud to recognize several longtime volunteers who have generously dedicated decades of time and expertise to our mission. We would especially like to celebrate the following individuals, who are familiar faces at the Skagit Habitat Store:
- Chuck H — 20 years of volunteer service
- Dave G — 18 years of volunteer service
- Bob R — 10 years of volunteer service
Chuck, Dave, and Bob can regularly be found volunteering on Monday mornings, helping sort and price donated items after a busy weekend at the Store. Thank you, Chuck, Dave, and Bob, for your years of service and for all you do for our community!

Our homebuilding would not be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers. Whether assisting customers at the Skagit Habitat Store, helping with finishing touches on the construction site, or serving on our committees, their dedication of time and talent keeps costs low and hope high. Together, we’re helping more families achieve the dream of affordable homeownership — the opportunity to build strength, security, and self-reliance with a steady, affordable mortgage payment.
