The Impact of Your Donation
Your donations to the Skagit Habitat Store help build more affordable homes for local families in need! You read that right. The net proceeds from the sale of your donated items is one of Skagit Habitat for Humanity’s largest sources of income.
Since 1994, Skagit Habitat has built 53 affordable homes across Skagit Valley, and your donations play a huge role in helping more local families achieve strength, security, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. This year, we’re looking forward to building 3 more in La Conner, thanks to generous donors like you!
Acceptable Donations
Donate your new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials, tools, doors and windows, cabinetry, plumbing, home décor, and more. All donated items should be clean, complete, and in sellable condition. Click below to view our comprehensive list on what we accept and don’t accept before bringing it in.
We are unable to accept broken, damaged, or incomplete items. We also do not accept clothing, books, dishware, or hazardous or toxic chemicals. Donations are accepted at the discretion of the warehouse staff and/or drivers, as they are most familiar with current stock levels and what sells in the Skagit Habitat Store.

Donate Scrap Metal
This summer, we’re partnering with Skagit River Steel & Recycling who will donate all proceeds from their Donate At the Gate Recycling Bin!
How To Donate:
- Gather scrap household metals: car parts, home appliances, Christmas lights, household wire, old tools, and more.
- Bring your metal to Skagit River Steel & Recycling at 1265 S Anacortes St. Burlington, WA 98233
- Let the scale operator know you’d like to donate the value of your metals to Skagit Habitat for Humanity.
